I have a penfriend for 66 years in Australia and a friend met through family genealogy of 22 years who have come to visit us in Uk many times. The surface sparkles and the choices you pick for looks give you a chance to pick hair colour/ style, complexion, eyes, jumper, drink. I got one for each of them too. Both were really moved and said they would cherish them forever .
